Using The Parable of the Lily to Prepare for Easter in Sunday School

Liz Curtis Higgs put out a four-part children's book series many years ago. I read them to my children and created a curriculum guide for each book. If you are teaching Sunday School this unit would be excellent to add some fun activities to your lesson! I set it up for a preschool teacher to use in a week's time but you can divide up the activities for the weeks preceding Easter.
The Parable of the Lily is a story of a little girl who receives a box of dirt for Christmas instead of a toy.  She has instructions to put it outside when it gets warm but instead puts it in the cellar.  When in the spring she accidentally breaks the box she finds a flower bulb that she throws out the cellar door.  On Easter morning she discovers her discarded bulb is now a beautiful lily.  The thing she thought was dead was now alive.
Here are just a few things in this download.
